Intervention & Ongoing supports
What to Expect
Individualised, neuro-affirming occupational therapy intervention supporting regulation, skill development, and participation in everyday life. Intervention is tailored to each child’s pace, strengths, and needs, with clear goals and regular review to support meaningful progress.
Support may include individual sessions, programmes, parent coaching, school collaboration, and training.
-
Handwriting intervention supports the development of legible, efficient, and confident handwriting. Intervention draws on the Handwriting Without Tears® approach, combined with occupational therapy expertise and an understanding of literacy and phonics, to address both the motor and language-based components of handwriting.
Intervention is typically delivered in structured blocks, tailored to the child’s developmental stage and learning pace, with a focus on building foundational skills and functional written output.
-
Self-regulation intervention is designed to support children in understanding and managing their sensory and emotional regulation needs. Intervention is bespoke, informed by the child’s unique sensory profile, and focuses on practical strategies that support regulation across home and school environments.
This programme is typically delivered over a six-week block, including four face-to-face sessions, with analysing questionnaires and formulation of report for school and home.
-
Goal Setting and Reviews provide structured follow-up support after assessment or intervention. Clear goals are identified, progress is reviewed, and strategies are refined to support continued development and participation.
